A Calgary senior citizen drove her brand new red Corvette convertible out
of the dealership.
Taking off down the road, she floored it to 130 km/h, enjoying the wind
blowing through her silver streaked hair. Amazing, she thought as she flew
down the Trans-Canada towards Banff , pushing the pedal even more.
Looking in her rear view mirror, she saw a Royal Canadian Mounted Police
patrol car behind her, blue and red lights flashing. She floored it to
160Km/h, then 180, then 200.
Suddenly she thought, 'What am I doing? I'm too old for this,' and pulled
over to await the RCMP's arrival.
Pulling in behind her, the Officer walked up to the Corvette, looked at his
watch and said, 'Mam, my shift ends in 30 minutes. Today is Friday. If you
can give me a reason for speeding that I've never heard before, I'll let you
go.'
She paused for a moment. Then said, 'Years ago, my husband ran off with
a female RCMP officer. I thought she was bringing him back!'
'Have a good day, Mam,' replied the Officer.
